Micro porous aeration tubes do have the problem of easy blockage, mainly due to the formation of membranes on the tube wall and outlet holes, as well as the growth of sludge and green moss at the bottom, the influence of dust in the air or rust inside the blower tube, or the design of too small blower volume, excessive use of microbial agents, and excessive fertilizer and water. The following solutions can be taken to address the issue of blockage in microporous aeration tubes:
1、 Preventive measures
1. Choose anti clogging aeration tubes: such as 18 × 10 yellow stripe burr type anti clogging aeration tubes, whose surface pores are slightly larger than those of low-density aeration tubes, making them relatively less prone to clogging.
2. Regularly turn on the aerator: frequent use of the aeration tube can reduce blockages. Avoid prolonged disuse that can lead to sediment deposition and excessive membrane growth.
3. Air filtration: Filter the air before entering the blower to prevent impurities such as dust and oil mist from entering the air supply system.
4. Material selection: The air pipes below the water surface of the aeration tank should be made of plastic material to avoid corrosion caused by water vapor condensation.
2、 Cleaning method
1. High pressure airflow flushing method:
Using a portable air compressor, remove the hose connecting the aeration tube or disc and connect it to the outlet of the air compressor.
Start the air compressor, pay attention to the aeration condition on the water surface, and turn off the air compressor after the condition is normal.
When flushing with high-pressure airflow, ensure that the aeration tube plug and all joints are tightly clamped with throat clamps.
2. Acid washing method:
Prepare a container (such as a large tank or cement pool) and pour a dilute hydrochloric acid solution with a concentration of 5 into it.
Soak the blocked aeration tube in dilute hydrochloric acid solution for about 12 hours.
Remove the aeration tube and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
3、 Other maintenance measures
1. Regular maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain the aeration head and aeration tube, including using brushes or high-pressure guns for cleaning, and removing them from the aeration tank for individual cleaning.
2. Drainage treatment: Install a pneumatic drainage pipe at the end of the air distribution pipe to promptly drain any accumulated water in the pipe and avoid blockages caused by water accumulation.
3. Attention to operation: Avoid direct entry of steel industry wastewater into the treatment plant. The temporary gas shutdown time should not be too long. When the aeration tank is temporarily suspended, it should be filled with clean water or relatively clean treated water, and a small amount of air should be supplied.
In summary, by taking appropriate preventive measures, cleaning methods, and other maintenance measures, the blockage problem of microporous aeration tubes can be effectively solved, their service life can be extended, and the sewage treatment efficiency can be improved.
