1. Fuel tank capacity
The oil tank capacity of Roots blower is usually 3-5 liters (some models may be larger), please refer to the equipment manual for details.
The refueling amount is generally 1/2 to 2/3 of the fuel tank capacity, for example:
3-liter fuel tank: refueling capacity of 1.5-2 liters
5-liter fuel tank: refueling capacity 2.5-3.5 liters
2. Oil filling amount of gearbox
The amount of oil added to the gearbox needs to be determined based on the gearbox volume, usually 2/3 of the gearbox volume.
2、 Refueling operation steps
1. Confirm oil level
After shutdown, check the oil level through the oil level mirror or oil gauge to ensure that the oil level is above the centerline but not exceeding the upper limit.
2. Refueling method
Slowly inject lubricating oil into the oil filling hole to avoid overflow.
After refueling, start the fan and run it for 5-10 minutes. Check the oil level again and replenish it to the normal range if necessary.
3、 Lubricating oil selection
1. Lubricating oil type
We recommend using ISO VG 220 or 320 gear oil, and the specific viscosity should be selected according to the ambient temperature
Low temperature environment (<10 ℃): ISO VG 220
High temperature environment (>30 ℃): ISO VG 320
2. Replacement cycle
The lubricating oil needs to be replaced after the first 500 hours of operation of the new machine, and then every 2000-3000 hours thereafter.

1. Avoid excessive refueling
Excessive refueling can cause an increase in oil temperature, oil leakage, and even damage to seals.
2. Prevent impurities from entering
Clean the fuel inlet before refueling to prevent dust and impurities from entering the gearbox.

Check the oil level weekly and the oil quality monthly. If any deterioration or emulsification is found, it should be replaced immediately.

1. The oil level drops too quickly, and the seal is aging or damaged. Replace the seal
