Selection and installation guidance of Roots blower for PE plastic particle pneumatic conveying
For the selection and installation of Roots blowers for pneumatic conveying of PE plastic pellets, detailed guidance is provided below:
1、 Selection guidance
1. Determine flow and pressure requirements:
According to the design requirements of the PE plastic particle pneumatic conveying system, determine the flow rate and pressure that the Roots blower needs to provide.
Considering the surplus capacity and air leakage loss of the system, the flow rate should generally be 1.1-1.25 times the required flow rate of the system.
There should be a margin for boosting, usually 1.05 to 1.15 times the system pressure drop. If the system pressure drop frequently changes during the production process, it should be based on the pressure drop.
2. Analyze gas parameters:
Analyze factors such as flow rate, pressure, temperature, humidity, and gas composition (such as whether it contains corrosive, flammable, and explosive components) in air transportation.
These parameters will directly affect the selection, design, and effectiveness of Roots blowers.
3. Select performance parameters:
Select the Roots blower model that can meet the flow and pressure requirements according to actual needs.
In addition to air volume and pressure, it is also necessary to consider performance parameters such as the speed, shaft power, and exhaust temperature of the Roots blower.
These parameters will affect the operational efficiency and stability of the fan.
4. Choose structure and material:
Choose the appropriate structure and material for the Roots blower based on the usage environment and medium characteristics, such as the wear and corrosion of PE plastic particles.
For example, it may be necessary to choose materials that are corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant, as well as structures suitable for high-speed operation.
5. Consider attachments and control methods:
Ensure that the Roots blower can be easily installed with accessories such as inlet silencers, outlet silencers, pressure gauges, etc., and select appropriate control methods.
6. Select manufacturer:
Choose manufacturers with strong R&D, production, and management capabilities.
These manufacturers are usually able to provide better products and more comprehensive after-sales service.
7. Reference to similar systems:
Refer to the configuration of existing similar systems, or analogize and calculate based on similar devices, to determine the operating parameters of the Roots blower.
2、 Installation Guide
1. Check equipment:
Before installation, check whether the Roots blower and its supporting equipment (such as motor, inlet muffler, outlet muffler, base, elastic joint, pressure gauge, etc.) are intact and undamaged.
Ensure that the models and specifications of all components meet the design requirements.
2. Prepare tools:
Prepare the necessary tools for installation, such as bolts, wrenches, screwdrivers, steel rulers, linear equipment, etc.
3. Select installation location:
Choose a flat and stable installation location based on the size and weight of the Roots blower.
Ensure that there is no vibration or displacement during the operation of the fan.
4. Placing and fixing the base:
Place the base in the pre selected installation position, ensuring that the base is level and stable.
Use anchor bolts to secure the base to the ground.
5. Install the host and motor:
Gently place the Roots blower host on the base and ensure that the connection holes between the blower and the base are aligned.
Use the matching bolts to securely connect the fan host to the base.
Gently place the motor on the base and the roller on the side connected to the motor, use the matching bolts for initial connection, and adjust the position of the motor to ensure that the motor spindle is parallel to the Roots blower spindle.
Tighten the connecting bolts between the motor and the roller, as well as between the roller and the base.
6. Install the transmission device and belt:
According to the customer's parameters, select the fan pulley and motor pulley, and use a steel ruler or straight-line device to calibrate the two pulleys so that they are on the same plane.
Install the matching belt on the fan pulley and motor pulley, and adjust the internal and external adjustment bolts of the motor roller to tighten the belt.
7. Install other accessories:
Install accessories such as wheel guards, pressure gauges, inlet silencers, outlet silencers, and elastic joints.
Pay attention to checking for foreign objects inside the muffler and ensure that the connection is well sealed.
8. Connect power and debug:
Invite an electrical engineer to connect the motor power supply and ensure that the cable connection, power supply current, and frequency meet the design requirements.
Perform equipment debugging work, including checking the tightening of each connection position, whether the pipeline support is secure, and whether the oil level is in the appropriate position.
Turn on the pressure gauge switch to determine if the zero pressure pointer is accurate.
9. Trial operation and inspection:
Conduct a trial operation of the Roots blower, including three stages: no-load idle operation, loaded operation, and normal operation.
Use a vibration measuring instrument to check whether the vibration of the fan meets the design requirements.
Record the operating data of the fan, such as speed, flow rate, pressure, etc., for future reference.
In summary, selecting and installing Roots blowers is a comprehensive process that considers multiple factors. It is necessary to ensure that the selected model meets the system requirements, and the installation process requires careful operation to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
