Introduction to the Working Principle and Application of Negative Pressure Roots Vacuum Pump
Negative pressure Roots vacuum pump is an important vacuum equipment with a wide range of working principles and applications. The following is a detailed introduction to it:
1、 Working principle
The working principle of a negative pressure Roots vacuum pump is mainly based on the high-speed rotation of two interlocked rotors (or impellers) inside the pump chamber, thereby achieving the suction, compression, and discharge of gas, ultimately forming a vacuum. Specifically:
Rotor structure: The Roots vacuum pump is equipped with two blade shaped rotors that rotate synchronously in opposite directions, which can be shoe soles or other shapes. The gaps maintained between rotors and between rotors and the inner wall of the pump casing are not in contact with each other, and the gaps are generally 0.1~0.8 millimeters, which can achieve high-speed operation.
Inhalation process: Due to the continuous rotation of the rotor, the extracted gas is sucked into the space between the rotor and the pump casing through the inlet.
Compression process: After inhalation, the space is in a fully enclosed state, so the gas in the pump chamber will not compress or expand. But when the top of the rotor rotates past the edge of the exhaust port, the space is connected to the exhaust side. Due to the high gas pressure on the exhaust side, some gas rushes back into the space, causing a sudden increase in gas pressure.
Exhaust process: As the rotor continues to rotate, gas will be expelled from the pump.
2、 Application
The negative pressure Roots vacuum pump has a wide range of applications in multiple fields due to its working principle and performance characteristics:
In the industrial field, Roots vacuum pumps have a long history of application in industries such as petroleum, chemical, plastic, pesticide, metallurgy, and textile, which can meet the demand for vacuum equipment in these industries.
Aerospace: In the field of aerospace, Roots vacuum pumps are used in space simulation and other devices, providing strong support for the development of the aerospace industry.
Power industry: In the power industry, Roots vacuum pumps are used in processes such as vacuum drying and vacuum impregnation of power transformers, power capacitors, and power transformers.
In addition, Roots vacuum pumps are widely used in fields such as vacuum heat treatment, exhaust in vacuum smelting, and vacuum coating equipment.
In summary, negative pressure Roots vacuum pumps play an important role in industrial production due to their working principle and wide application fields. Meanwhile, with the continuous advancement of technology and the expansion of applications, the performance of Roots vacuum pumps will also continue to improve, providing strong support for the development of more fields.
